Cartea unui psihiatru prestigios (George Şerban, Lying: Man's Second Nature, 2001) a fost luată odinioară, simptomatic, în baza diagnozei „societății minciunii" dată epocii (Wolfgang Reinhard, Unsere Lügen Gesellschaft, 2006).
